Making it easier for everyone to get around

Customer using a train boarding rampSydney Trains has an ongoing commitment to provide a passenger rail service that gives access to all our customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with prams, young children or luggage.

All trains on the Sydney Trains network have step-free vestibules for mobility aids and prams.

NSW TrainLink Intercity trains only have limited wheelchair access to the seating compartment - look for the wheelchair symbol on accessible entrances.

Stations

Stations marked as wheelchair accessible have level, ramp or lift access to all platforms. However, not every entrance at every accessible station may be wheelchair accessible.

Selected stations have accessible features such as:

  • Ramps
  • Lifts
  • Tactile tiles on the edge of platforms
  • Continuous handrails
  • Accessible payphones
  • Accessible audio and visual service information
  • Accessible toilets.
