More peak services for Olympic Park Sprint

Olympic ParkAs part of RailCorp's Customer Charter commitment, the service frequency will double between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, with trains operating every 10 minutes in peak periods from Monday 1 March 2010.

More than 100 organisations and around 8,500 workers are currently based at Sydney Olympic Park. Population and further business growth in the area is forecast to continue, with the first residential tower containing 685 units expected to be completed by early 2011.

RailCorp has identified the need for more services to cater for forecast demand and we are committed to improving our network to keep pace with the needs of our customers.

Increasing the service frequency from Olympic Park will also improve connections with other CityRail services at Lidcombe Station.

Olympic Park Sprint services will operate every 10 minutes between Olympic Park Station and Lidcombe Station between approximately 6.10am and 10.30am in the weekday morning peak, between 3.00pm and 9.20pm in the weekday afternoon peak and on weekends. A regular 20 minute service will operate outside of these times.
